"Het raakt me als ik mensen van allerlei leeftijden zie genieten van theater. Als ik zie hoe kinderen na een voorstelling nog dagenlang het verhaal naspelen. Of als onze oudere bezoekers in het Parktheater samenkomen door medewerking van een mooie stichting als Vierhetleven. Ze zich weer even jong voelen omdat ze zich laten meenemen in het leven van de acteurs." Al 15 jaar werkt Marjon Reus bij het Parktheater Eindhoven waar zij vooral actief is als ‘virusverspreider’ van geluk. ‘

Geluk ligt in het verlengde van de missie van het Parktheater. "We willen bezoekers echt raken, en ik draag daaraan bij vanuit het gegeven dat geluk en cultuur gemeenschappelijke delers hebben. Het draagt bij aan gezondheid, mentaal en fysiek welzijn en creëert betrokkenheid. In de rol van geluksverspreider streef ik naar meer geluk in Eindhoven. Dit wordt met name zichtbaar tijdens de Dutch Happiness Week. Deze samenwerking met Fontys Hogeschool en het Parktheater Eindhoven is gestart in 2014 en uitgegroeid tot een mooie week die volledig in het teken staat van geluk."

‘Ik bezoek graag Introdans. Dit dansgezelschap komt jaarlijks met mooie producties die helemaal passen bij de tijdgeest. Prachtige dans in combinatie met mooie projecties. Introdans heeft daarnaast elk jaar een jeugdproductie die met zoveel humor wordt gebracht, dat het juweeljes zijn voor jong en oud. Wetende dat het gezelschap ook nog mooie projecten doet die van betekenis zijn voor de samenleving, bijvoorbeeld met ouderen, heb ik dit gezelschap in mijn hartje gesloten. ‘

‘It touches me when I see people of all ages enjoying theater. When I see kids still playing and talking about the performance they have seen the days before… Or when older visitors in the Parktheater come together through a foundation like Vierhetleven (Celebrate life). The visitors feel young again and get carried away by the life of these actors.” For fifteen years Marjon Reus has been working for the Parktheater where she is mainly active as the spreader of happiness.

Happiness lies within the mission of the Parktheater. “We want to move visitors and I contribute to that through the belief that happiness and culture have some shared ground. It contributes to health, mental and physical wellbeing and creating involvement. In the role of the spreader of happiness I strive to create a happier Eindhoven. This is especially visible during the Dutch Happiness Week. This collaboration with Fontys University of Applied Science and the Parktheater started in 2014 and grew to being a nice week in light of happiness.

“I like to visit Introdans. This dancing group performs beautiful pieces that fit the zeitgeist, every year. Magnificent dance in combination with beautiful projections. Besides, every year Introdans has a youth production that is brought to the public with so much humour, that it is great to watch for young and old. Knowing that the group also does projects that are meaningful for society, for example for the elderly, makes that they have earned a place in my heart.”

This year, too, the Parktheater will be all about happiness and the Dutch Happiness Week will be held between March 19 and 26.
